Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and successfully executing commercial and industrial plumbing and HVAC mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, field operations, and client communications while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive experience in mechanical contracting, commercial plumbing, HVAC systems, and construction project management.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
· Manage multiple plumbing and HVAC construction projects simultaneously
· Review contract documents, specifications and drawings
· Coordinate project kickoff meetings and establish project objectives for vendors and subs
· Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule or budget
· Attend weekly meetings as required by project specific guidelines.
Financial Management
· Manage change orders from pricing through execution.
· Review invoices, subcontractor pay applications, and purchase orders.
· Maximize project profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Field Coordination
· Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen to coordinate manpower and resources.
· Schedule equipment deliveries and material procurement.
· Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
· Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, productivity, and safety
· Assist field teams in resolving technical and installation challenges.
Client Relations
· Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, architects, and engineers.
· Lead project meetings and provide progress updates.
· Build long-term relationships through exceptional customer service.
· Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
Documentation
· Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project correspondence.
· Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
· Prepare project status reports and executive updates.
· Coordinate project turnover packages and as-built documentation.
Requirements
· 5+ years of commercial plumbing and HVAC project management experience.
· Experience reading construction drawings and specifications.
· Strong knowledge of project scheduling and budgeting.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Estimating experience is a plus
