    Description

    Company Overview:

    A small to mid-sized, and rapidly growing, renewable energy company located in the Capital District is looking for an experienced Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager.

    Base is anywhere from $75K to $85K. Bonus, 6% 401K, decent benefits coverage, and continuing education support are some key perks

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support or lead project scheduling, budgeting, and procurement tracking to maintain project efficiency.
    • Assist in or take ownership of subcontractor management, including contract execution, invoicing, and pay applications.
    • Participate in project closeout processes, including commissioning and warranty documentation.
    • Ensure the project adheres to schedules, contributing to or fully managing updates and adjustments.
    • Prepare and manage project RFIs, submittals, and design drawings, with increasing responsibility based on experience.
    • Assist in or take ownership of change order preparation, budget updates, and cost forecasting.
    • Maintain accuracy in job cost tracking and financial reporting, progressing toward full ownership at senior levels.
    • Collaborate with project teams to monitor budgets, purchase orders, and cost transfers.
    • Assist with or fully manage AIA Pay Applications, lien waivers, and financial documentation.
      Maintain accuracy in project procurement, ensuring compliance with material and cost tracking standards.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with field staff, vendors, and subcontractors.
    • Ensure safety compliance on-site and support adherence to company and industry safety protocols.
    • Participate in job setup and kickoff meetings, taking a leadership role as experience progresses.
    • Develop familiarity with or take ownership of contract review, insurance requirements (COIs), and project bonding.
    • Assist with or lead EVR process tracking and reporting to maintain regulatory compliance.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost management, and subcontractor coordination (experience level will determine depth of responsibility).
    • Experience with AIA Pay Applications, purchase orders, and contract documentation is preferred.
      Proficiency in ERP systems and project management software.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt to increasing leadership responsibilities.
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
