Do you want to lead design of one of Amazon"s last mile business programs? Do you thrive while working backwards from a customer problem statement and designing entirely new programs from the ground up? Are you looking for a role where you can have a highly visible international impact on the business? The Worldwide Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Product and Strategy organization is seeking a Senior Program Manager to define and execute our global uniforms strategy, supporting Amazon"s rapidly expanding Last Mile delivery capabilities.

At Amazon, we"re working to be the most Customer-centric company on earth. The Worldwide DSP Product and Strategy team is constantly re-inventing the customer experience. We"re doing so by building a world class last mile operation that raises the bar on customer expectations through a rapidly expanding global network of entrepreneur owned and operated small businesses (the DSP program). To enable the program to scale in a sustainable way, we"re seeking an exceptional Senior Program Manager who will define the vision and strategy for our uniforms product line, supporting a network of 3500+ individual entrepreneurs across 22 countries.

In this role, you will be responsible for building our global uniforms supply chain strategy, ensuring we deliver high-quality, regionally-appropriate uniforms that meet the diverse needs of our DSP partners and their DAs actually want to wear. You"ll develop innovative solutions for three critical areas: designing uniforms that adapt to our expanding delivery modes and geographic presence, creating a centralized forecasting and inventory management system, and establishing a cost-effective, efficient supply chain that can rapidly deliver uniforms and new designs across our global network. This is a new and fast-growing space with unique challenges in scaling a tested model across highly variable environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to leverage best practices from various last mile channels, using diverse technology to ideate, design, and launch solutions that serve our DSP partners" evolving needs - from traditional vehicle delivery to innovative new transportation modes. The optimal fit for this role will be a candidate wanting to roll-up their sleeves, dive into complex supply chain challenges, develop a path forward by working with multiple stakeholders, and convince senior management that their solution is the best one.

This will be a high visibility global role, meaning that the optimal candidate will be comfortable driving critical business decisions in fast paced, high pressure, and often ambiguous environments, and elevating critical one-way door decisions to senior leadership. A successful candidate will be customer focused, highly analytical, resourceful, a big thinker, a strong writer, and able to operate at all levels of the organization. Any background in logistics, manufacturing, last mile, supply chain and/or experience in risk management and program management will be considered a plus. Our organization is based in the US, but we support global operations across Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Domestic and international travel will be required 10-20% of the time.

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
