At Amazon, we"re working to be the most Customer-centric company on earth. One customer experience that we're constantly looking to take to a new level is how we fulfill and deliver their orders. The goal of Amazon is to build a world class last mile operation. Amazon aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best in class service levels through the introduction of pioneering new products and services.

At Amazon we are building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Delivery Service Partners (DSP). Amazon works directly with DSPs to make deliveries to our customers. As a DSP, these high-performing drivers can now be their own boss managing a fleet of up to 40 branded vans delivering Amazon packages.

We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to join the Last Mile DSP Network Health Team. This person will be accountable for Director level goals and will need to work closely with senior leaders in the Last Mile space as well as key partner organizations to ensure success. The Sr. Program Manager will own building and reporting partner insights for Network Health (NH) and the Delivery Service Partners program. This includes working closely with legal, account managers, operations, tech and other internal teams to understand the business and refine models to more quickly identify risks in the DSP network.

You will be successful in this role if you 1) have a strong sense of ownership and seek long-term solutions that scale worldwide, 2) can develop data-based insights and turn them into actionable information, 3) have a desire to learn new areas of the business and able to apply those learnings to your own work and 4) clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing, to drive buy-in and adoption across a diverse group of stakeholders with competing priorities.

We are seeking a bar-raising candidate who will be able to:

  • Develop scalable frameworks that will drive quality insights regarding DSP partners
  • Build reporting mechanisms to identify trends in the network and enable Network Health and partner teams to make decisions quickly
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across various organizations, geographies, and leadership levels to drive programs that enable DSPs and Amazon Logistics to be successful
  • Analyze metrics and patterns of behavior to inform business decisions
  • Operate and deliver in a fast-paced environment

Key job responsibilities

  • Define the strategic direction and build roadmap to develop against
  • Build/design/refine frameworks to evaluate business relationships and identify varying risk within the DSP network
  • Oversee the development and improvement of existing insight processes
  • Integrate findings with partner team to influence Amazon Logistics and DSP engagement
  • Communicate with senior management and other business/technical partners on program decisions, roadmap status and risks
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics and Tech teams to articulate and prioritize feature needs for analytics and reporting
  • Work in partnership with global partner teams to help drive worldwide parity across Network Health's frameworks
  • Create, maintain, and disseminate program information on a regular basis to senior leadership teams and key stakeholders.

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
