Summary
The Senior Product Manager – Utility Solutions is responsible for driving product strategy, roadmap execution, and cross-functional delivery for Osmose’s portfolio of utility infrastructure products, services, and technology-enabled solutions, including transmission infrastructure, grid resilience, asset integrity, and engineering-enabled solutions. This role supports the development, enhancement, and commercialization of solutions that address critical utility challenges across transmission infrastructure, asset lifecycle performance, engineering, restoration, and operational excellence.
The Senior Product Manager partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Software, Solutions, and Business Development to translate market opportunities and customer needs into actionable product strategies and scalable offerings. This role serves as a key driver of innovation, helping strengthen Osmose’s leadership position in the evolving utility and energy infrastructure market.
Key Responsibilities
Market Dynamics
• Monitor market dynamics, customer challenges, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies shaping the utility sector.
• Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of utility infrastructure markets, transmission infrastructure, asset lifecycle management, grid resilience challenges, and operational priorities.
• Stay informed on relevant industry standards, infrastructure degradation modes, environmental risks, regulatory trends, and utility modernization initiatives.
Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution
• Contribute to portfolio strategy development and maintain product roadmaps aligned to business priorities and market opportunities.
• Develop business cases and support prioritization of new solutions, enhancements, and service expansions.
• Define product requirements and success metrics for new and existing utility-focused offerings.
• Identify opportunities for product optimization, operational efficiency, scalability, and digital innovation.
New Solution Development
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Software, and Business Development teams to translate market needs into clear product and technical requirements.
• Support pilot programs, field evaluations, and customer validation efforts.
• Assist in developing standardized methodologies, procedures, and documentation to support repeatable delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Solutions and Business Development teams to understand customer pain points and align offerings to market demand.
• Collaborate with Operations leadership to ensure product readiness, adoption, and execution.
• Support integration of new products into systems, workflows, and customer-facing programs.
Market & Competitive Analysis
• Conduct market research, customer feedback analysis, and competitive assessments to guide product strategy.
• Support pricing strategy, market positioning, and value proposition development.
• Provide data-driven insights to support portfolio investment decisions.
Sales Enablement & Customer Support
• Serve as a product resource in strategic customer discussions, pilots, and proposal efforts.
• Develop product materials including presentations, case studies, FAQs, and technical documentation.
• Support value proposition refinement and market messaging.
Launch & Adoption Support
• Assist with rollout planning, sales enablement, KPI tracking, and post-launch performance analysis.
• Gather customer and operational feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Technical, or related discipline required. MBA is a plus.
• 8–12 years of experience in product management, engineering, technical services, or related work within utilities, transmission infrastructure, energy infrastructure, industrial technology, or adjacent markets.
• Experience contributing to development and launch of technical products, software, or service solutions.
• Strong understanding of utility, transmission, infrastructure, asset management, or industrial operational environments.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with ability to influence without direct authority.
• Strong strategic thinking, business case development, and communication skills.
• Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagement, field evaluations, and strategic initiatives.
