The AWS Startups team builds innovative products and platforms that support startup customers throughout their journey - from initial onboarding and credit programs to AI-powered guidance and scale solutions. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical (External Services) to own the product strategy, roadmap, and external delivery of our ecosystem and partner distribution platform - the layer that connects VCs, accelerators, ISVs, and migration partners into the AWS Startups product experience. This platform enables partners to onboard, nurture, and activate their startup portfolios through programmatic integrations with our AI-powered guidance and migration products. You will own three interconnected partner channels: Provider Central (investor/VC onboarding and portfolio nurturing), Exclusive Offers (ISV product promotion integrated contextually into our startup advisor experience), and Migration Partners (partner-driven migration fulfillment at scale).

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role at the intersection of platform product management and ecosystem distribution. You will own both the product definition and the external service delivery - shaping APIs, partner portals, integration frameworks, and operational excellence for live, partner-facing AWS products that drive startup acquisition and activation at scale.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Own end-to-end product lifecycle for externally-facing partner and ecosystem services - from vision and strategy through engineering design, launch, adoption, and iteration across Provider Central, Exclusive Offers, and Migration Partner channels
    • Define and drive the platform roadmap - building the shared integration layer that enables all partner types (VCs, ISVs, SIs) to programmatically connect with our startup guidance and migration products
    • Lead external service design - define partner APIs, webhook schemas, self-serve onboarding flows, and admin experiences that meet the reliability, security, and operational bar of an AWS-grade external service
    • Drive ecosystem integration into Startup Advisor - own how partner-originated content (exclusive offers, portfolio context, migration recommendations) surfaces contextually within the founder experience at the right moment in the builder journey
    • Build the partner analytics vision - create dashboards and reporting surfaces that give partners visibility into their impact (startups onboarded, offers redeemed, migrations completed, portfolio health)
    • Own go-to-market for partner channels - drive partner onboarding strategy, self-serve adoption, and geographic expansion in partnership with business development and field teams globally
    • Design scalable distribution mechanics - move from manual partner onboarding to self-serve, from one-off integrations to platform-level APIs that enable any qualified partner to plug in
    • Partner cross-functionally - work with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Solutions Architects, BD, and Field teams across geographies to deliver at pace
    • Drive product discussions with executives (technical and non-technical) - write business proposals, roadmap narratives, and operational reviews
    • Champion the partner and the founder - engage directly with VCs, ISVs, migration partners, and startup founders to understand both sides of the marketplace and translate ecosystem dynamics into successful products

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
