Supermicro is a Top Tier provider of advanced server, storage, and networking solutions for Data Center, Cloud Computing, Enterprise IT, Hadoop/ Big Data, Hyperscale, HPC and IoT/Embedded customers worldwide. We are the #5 fastest growing company among the Silicon Valley Top 50 technology firms. Our unprecedented global expansion has provided us with the opportunity to offer a large number of new positions to the technology community. We seek talented, passionate, and committed engineers, technologists, and business leaders to join us.

Job Summary:

As a Sr. Product Manager for System PCBA, you will be the strategic glue between hardware engineering, system architecture, and the broader product organization. You wont just be managing a board; you will be defining how the PCBA enables the next generation of system performance. You will drive the product development lifecycle from initial architectural concept through mass production, ensuring that our hardware platforms are scalable, performant, and aligned with market needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with System Architects to define PCBA requirements that support overall system goals (signal integrity, power distribution, thermal constraints, and I/O density)
  • Lead the product journey from Concept to Design to End-of-Life (EOL), making critical trade-off decisions regarding cost, risk, and performance
  • Act as the primary PM counterpart to the Electrical Engineering (EE) and Layout teams, translating high-level product requirements into actionable technical specifications
  • Align with SoC, Thermal, Mechanical, and Software PM teams to ensure the PCBA design supports the holistic system dependencies
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure component selection aligns with long-term sourcing strategies and manufacturing scalability

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (MBA or M.S. preferred)
  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, specifically within hardware, server, networking, or complex consumer electronics
  • Strong understanding of PCBA design flows, including schematic capture, PCB layout constraints, and high-speed signal challenges
  • Proven ability to influence System Architecture-you understand how a change at the board level impacts the power envelope or thermal profile of the entire chassis
  • Demonstrated experience shipping multiple high-volume or high-complexity products from "napkin sketch" to global launch

Salary Range

$165,000 - $185,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
