Job Title: Product Manager, Patient Consent ManagementJob Description

We are seeking an experienced product strategist to lead the definition, governance, and execution of patient consent products across our enterprise platform ecosystem. The role involves establishing operational consent management within our patient ecosystem, driving platform capability decisions, mapping consent workflows to business requirements, and facilitating alignment across stakeholders with competing needs and risk profiles.

Responsibilities

  • Own the business-side implementation roadmap for deployment, translating requirements into go-live milestones, identifying business readiness gaps, and coordinating with IT/technical teams on delivery timelines.
  • Develop and optimize the consent management requirements framework for deployment, documenting consent workflows, data requirements, and integration needs to inform configuration and testing.
  • Lead business user adoption and change management by developing training materials, running workshops with patient strategy and marketing teams, and establishing support processes for ongoing operations.
  • Manage configuration and testing by working with the vendor to configure consent workflows, question sets, and data mappings, validating that the platform behaves as intended before go-live.
  • Establish post-launch governance and monitoring, defining how the business monitors performance, escalates issues, and manages ongoing vendor relationships and updates.
  • Manage consent governance across stakeholders such as patient strategy, compliance, legal, IT, data science, and marketing.
  • Represent business needs in technical architecture discussions and technical constraints in business requirement conversations.
  • Coordinate with compliance and legal to ensure consent workflows meet regulatory requirements such as CCPA, HIPAA, and therapeutic area-specific regulations.
  • Establish consent analytics for enforcement success and regulatory audit readiness.
  • Establish audit and reporting processes for how consent decisions are logged, retained, and reported for compliance verification.
  • Partner with patient strategy, marketing, CX, and data teams to develop a first-party data collection strategy.
  • Establish governance standards for how consent is collected, stored, and enforced, creating clear playbooks and escalation paths when standards conflict with business priorities.
  • Communicate standards effectively across patient strategy, marketing, CX, IT, and legal teams through documentation, workshops, and ongoing stakeholder education.
  • Provide clear recommendations with business and risk rationale, facilitating alignment among stakeholders, and operating in ambiguity by establishing clarity where possible and documenting assumptions where not.

Essential Skills

  • 8 years of experience in product management, program management, operations, or strategy in pharma, healthcare, or regulated industries.
  • Deep understanding of consent management requirements in healthcare, including HIPAA, CCPA, and state privacy laws.
  • Strong operational and process design skills, with the ability to map workflows, identify decision points, and define SLAs and governance.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management, especially in matrixed environments.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and evolving requirements, with a proven ability to establish clarity and drive decisions forward.
  • Bachelor"s degree required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with consent management platforms.
  • Pharma experience.
  • Prior experience managing patient strategy, engagement, or access programs with an understanding of the business operations driving consent needs.
  • Experience with multi-brand or portfolio-level governance.

Work Environment

This position operates on a hybrid working model in South San Francisco, CA, with three days on-site and two days remote. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with a standard 8-hour shift. The interview format includes two rounds: a 45-minute session with the reporting manager and a 45-minute panel interview.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $88.00/hr.
