Department Summary

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity in our Hughes Network Systems division for a dynamic and experienced Sr. Product Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This position plays a pivotal role in defining product strategy, developing product roadmaps, evaluating technology and emerging markets, and driving product development for our aviation business.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for aircraft solutions spanning hardware, software, and services
Evaluate emerging technologies and emerging markets by conducting market research and assessing competitive products to inform product selection and ensure our offerings remain innovative and competitive
Craft compelling go-to-market strategies, create product documentation, and train internal teams to effectively communicate the value of the products
Drive product roadmaps while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives, market trends, and customer feedback
Develop and own the process to prioritize product initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility
Manage the product life cycle from concept to obsolescence
Leverage knowledge of aviation systems to guide product design, development, and integrationl collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with market needs
Manage strong relationships with customers, aircraft manufacturers, vendors, partners, and key stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are met

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration, or a related field
8+ years of relevant work experience
Prior experience managing all phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including product research, design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance and support
Prior experience owning and executing product roadmaps, trade studies, prioritization decisions, and lifecycle planning
Prior experience in product development, roadmap development, and/or market research

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and certification processes
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish concurrence

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $113,500.00/OTP - $151,000.00/OTP

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
