For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $150,000 - $160,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Your Role: Technical Leadership in Power Electronics

As a Senior Principal Engineer, you will act as a subject-matter expert in power conversion, driving technical excellence across our 3-phase UPS systems, large kVA converters, and DC power platforms. You will own designs end-to-end-from early concept and topology selection through validation, industrialization, and field support-while collaborating with world-class teams across firmware, mechanical, systems, and verification engineering.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Power Electronics & System Design
  • Lead the design and development of high-power UPS and 3-phase / DC power conversion systems
  • Define and validate power topologies, magnetics, passive components, and semiconductor selections
  • Design electronic subassemblies including schematics, PCB layout, and power stages
  • Ensure designs meet safety, functional, reliability, cost, and performance targets
  • Technical Authority & Innovation
  • Serve as a technical reference for power electronics across current and future product platforms
  • Drive selection and adoption of development, simulation, and HIL tools
  • Conduct technical studies, explorations, and proof-of-concepts in power conversion
  • Author technical papers and contribute to patentable innovations
  • Cross-Functional Impact
  • Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, electrical, V&V, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
  • Support technical decision-making at senior leadership level with data-driven recommendations
  • Balance business needs, technology trade-offs, risk, and cost
  • Provide technical support to sales, marketing, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams

  • Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring scope, timeline, and budget objectives are met
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of R&D processes and development standards

What You Bring

Education: Master's degree or higher in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics and energy conversion

Proven experience with high-power converters, UPS systems, or similar domains

Experience with digital control electronics / embedded systems is a strong plus

Prior involvement in innovative or breakthrough product development is highly valued

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of power electronic principles and topologies
  • Magnetics and inductive design
  • Passive components and stress calculations
  • Proficiency with ECAD tools (Cadence preferred)
  • Experience with simulation, modeling, and validation tools
