Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.Key Responsibilities Analyze, research, and develop materials and their related application processes for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems, and subsystems.Apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material science to investigate material issues and provide solutions.Work in a team environment with other engineering organizations, performing detailed technical reviews of drawings, specifications, and manufacturing plans.Basic Qualifications Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance and to obtain and maintain a Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; or a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience.Preferred Qualifications Experience working on military aircraft.Experience preparing and presenting oral and written reports.Master's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science.Experience with material obsolescence issues and qualifying materials.Experience with LO materials.Salary Range $137,400.00 – $206,000.00 (base salary). Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives.
