This role is located in Chandler, AZ .The selected candidate will provide design, development, manufacturing and test engineering support for a power supply design for an ignition safety device used on a multi‑stage launch vehicle.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for detailed design of analog circuits and sub‑systems, including analog power supply designDesign tasks include box level requirements analysis, board level requirements development, conceptual design, preliminary design, and detailed design through design verification and transition to production.Analysis tasks include detailed circuit modeling, simulation and analysis, signal integrity analysis, electrical stress analysis, and worst‑case circuit analysis.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience; or a PhD in Electrical Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience3+ years of design/analysis/test experience in electrical engineering specializing in power electronics, switch‑mode topologies, magnetic design, and feedback controlsProven capability to design, build, and test power electronics designsElectrical circuit design experienceExperience with discrete component power supply designCircuit modeling and simulation experienceSchematic capture experienceCircuit and sub‑system test and troubleshooting experienceUS CitizenshipActive U.S. Government Secret security clearance or ability to obtain oneAbility to work onsite in Chandler, AZPreferred Qualifications5+ years of design/analysis/test experience in electrical engineering specializing in power electronics, switch‑mode topologies, magnetic design, and feedback controlsRadiation hardening of electronic designsDesign/test for EMI compatibilityCadence Schematic Capture and PCB EditorCircuit board designSignal integrity analysisWorst case circuit analysisElectrical stress analysisDesign verification and testAbility to lead and drive troubleshooting to closure, including providing technical solutions to programsCollaboration skills across disciplines, including systems engineering, mechanical engineering, thermal/structural analysis, reliability, manufacturing/test, program managementPrimary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 – $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
