As part of the PLM Vehicle Engineering & Operations team the PLM analyst will work with Design Engineering and NPI Program Management teams on sustaining vehicle and energy programs from design phases through production implementation.
The PLM Analyst is responsible for transactional day-to-day activities such as analyzing and processing change orders to ensure an accurate and timely release of the Engineering Bill of Materials with proper specifications and part attributes to align with company standards as well as ensuring accurate structuring of these changes to the Manufacturing Bill of Materials.
Training of internal cross-functional teams on processes and monitoring their adherence while reviewing and processing requests is another essential function of the PLM Analyst.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of bill of materials key components and PLM team processes to identify improvement areas and make informed decisions
Utilize Teslas PLM and ERP platforms to process and track change authorizations and deviations daily while maintaining adherence to standard processes and ensuring an accurate bill of materials
Support the construction and change management of multi-level bills of material as required
Deliver ad-hoc training on the change control process to engineers and operations teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate processing of changes
Monitor adherence to processes by internal teams and provide guidance as needed
Review and process requests to maintain alignment with company standards
Degree in Information Technology Business or related field or equivalent experience with 3-5 years of relevant work in engineering systems
Experience with PLM tools change control configuration management and manufacturing environments is preferred
Understanding of bill of materials structure change control and product lifecycle management standards
Hands-on experience with PLM MRP or ERP systems with knowledge of ENOVIA3DEXPERIENCE as an advantage
Strong skills in end-user support and problem resolution
Ability to manage overlapping projects and adapt to shifting priorities within tight deadlines
Proficiency in Excel and a strong attention to detail
