Sr. People Analyst
3-month contract with potential to extend
Remote–MST hours
Pay Range $40.00-45.00/hr.
Our client is looking for a People Analyst to support the People organization during a critical backfill period. This is a team-of-one role, requiring an individual who can independently perform hands-on analytics work while exercising strong judgment, discretion, and communication skills. This role supports people-related decision-making across Total Rewards, Workforce Planning, and business leadership. The individual will work extensively with highly confidential employee and compensation data, much of which is sourced from Workday, and will produce analyses that may be shared with executive leadership and the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on people analytics using data primarily sourced from Workday
- Pull, validate, and analyze workforce, organizational, and compensation-related data
- Conduct basic statistical analysis, including trend analysis and regression where appropriate
- Create clear, accurate, and professional data visualizations and summaries
- Translate analytical findings into plain-language insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Support decision-making for People leaders, business partners, and executives
- Exercise strong judgment and discretion regarding confidential data—what to share, how to present it, and with whom
- Balance multiple types of work, from quick turn "what do the numbers say” requests to more nuanced analytical projects
- Operate independently in an environment without a large analytics team, wearing multiple hats as needed
Required Skills:
- Prior experience in a People Analytics, HR Analytics, or Workforce Analytics role
- Strong experience working directly in Workday (data extraction, reporting, analysis)
- Tableau
- Ability to perform basic statistical analysis, including regression and trend analysis
- Strong data visualization skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (expert-level expected)
- Proven ability to explain analysis to non-technical audiences
- Excellent judgment handling confidential and sensitive data
- Comfortable working independently in a team-of-one environment
