Ensure safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient operations by leading engineering initiatives, capital projects, and continuous improvement efforts that materially impact operational performance, safety, and asset reliability.Core ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering ownership for manufacturing systems and process infrastructure, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operationLead capital projects from concept through commissioning, including scope definition, cost estimation, vendor coordination, execution oversight, and startup supportEngineer and oversee system modifications and upgrades to improve safety, reliability, capacity, and regulatory complianceResolve complex equipment and process issues impacting safety, quality, throughput, and overall operational performance using structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis methodologiesDevelop, maintain, and enforce engineering standards, technical specifications, operating procedures, and system documentationPartner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Health, Safety, and Environmental teams to implement reliability, risk reduction, and performance improvement initiativesDrive continuous improvement activities such as process optimization, debottlenecking, capacity expansion, asset lifecycle improvements, and cost reduction projectsEnsure engineering designs and system modifications align with applicable regulatory, safety, and industry standardsProvide technical mentoring and guidance to engineers, technicians, and operators, reinforcing disciplined engineering practices and knowledge transferOwn capital funding requests, business case development, and ROI justificationServe as a technical mentor and informal leaderQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline10+ years' experience supporting manufacturing operations, production systems, or industrial process equipmentProven experience leading capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, contractor oversight, and vendor managementWorking knowledge of industrial safety requirements, regulatory compliance, and safe design principlesProficiency with common engineering and project management toolsExperience with manufacturing automation, controls, and instrumentation (PLC controlled equipment, sensors, interlocks, alarms)Experience working with flammable liquids, including safe handling, storage, and process design in compliance with applicable safety standards and regulationsComfortable working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including off shift support during critical events or startupsAble to travel up 15% of time.SkillsTechnical leadership in complex manufacturing or industrial environmentsAdvanced analytical and problem-solving capability for equipment, system, and process challengesStrong project leadership and execution disciplineAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersPractical application of regulatory requirements and engineering standardsOwnership mindset with accountability for results and sustained performanceSalary and benefits commensurate with experience.
