Sr. Manager | Omni Customer Marketing - Grocery

Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Omni Customer Marketing - Grocery is based in Cincinnati, OH and responsible for building brand equity and driving demand at key retailers through insights led media to shelf commerce activations. With an omni shopper mindset, the Omni Customer Marketing Sr. Manager must deliver overall business goals for both the brand and the retailer by developing and implementing strategies that engage shoppers through the full path to purchase and across all commerce channels. Charged with driving joint value creation, the candidate is required to seamlessly and effectively partner cross functionally, set vision for success, influence to drive impact and motivate multiple internal and external stakeholders. The Sr. Omni Customer Marketing Manager is also responsible for efficiently managing our agency partners within the outlined SOW, maximizing allocated budgets and agency resources.

As the complexity of the commerce and retail media landscape is rapidly evolving, this candidate will need to see through intricate and ambiguous situations to find solutions which drive the most value. This role will also require strong analytical and financial acumen, the ability to manipulate data from multiple sources, and an understanding of how to optimize strategies and executions leveraging performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify retailer opportunities, link them to brand objectives, and develop "white space" opportunities to drive impact

  • Recommend funding based on brand objectives and lead annual Joint Business Planning (JBP) negotiations for retail media networks using ROI and insights.

  • Develop annual plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage performance communication to stakeholders.

  • Manage one direct report and the omni commerce marketing agency team for grocery/Kroger strategy and execution.

  • Act as the voice of the shopper/retailer internally, offering feedback on brand messaging translation and developing programs that meet sales and brand goals.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the evolving retailer landscape and Grocery/Kroger retail media ecosystems (including KPM, Albertson's Media Collective, AD Retail Media, Edge, H-E-B Retail Media, Meijer Media).

  • Act as the voice of the brand to retailers and CDO sales teams, focusing on Kroger, Albertsons, ADUSA, HEB, Publix, Meijer, and Wakefern.

  • Elevate the omni commerce marketing function and embed the omni demand generation center of excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in CPG Sales or Shopper Marketing

  • Deep Channel, Customer, and Category Knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Strong strategic business acumen, marketing passion, and solid project management skills.

  • Analytically inclined, detail-oriented, resourceful, and results-driven.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to present ideas effectively internally and externally.

  • Proven ability to influence and work in a cross-functional matrix, handle complexity, ambiguity, and prioritize/multi-task independently under pressure.

  • Travel: 10%

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $140,000.00 - $174,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
