Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Sr. Manager, Environmental Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S)! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Whatever your title, whatever your role - it always comes back to this: we're a farmer-owned co-op where everyone rolls up their sleeves to get the job done. Three maverick farmers started it all - and we've been making our own way ever since.

Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote.

In this role, the Sr. Manager, Environmental Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) is responsible for leading and ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and security standards across Ocean Spray operations in 19 locations. This role develops and implements company-wide EHS policies, leveraging industry expertise, best practices, and functional knowledge to establish comprehensive, compliant, and effective standards.

This leader oversees the EHS network, drives regulatory compliance across U.S., Chile and Canada operations, and ensures safe, secure, and environmentally sound practices. The role requires strong hands-on leadership and a high sense of urgency, serving as both a strategic leader and operational partner to plant teams.

A Day in the Life...

EHS Strategy, Leadership & Governance

  • Develop, manage, and implement company-wide EHS&S policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Act as the leader of the Ocean Spray EHS Network, setting expectations, measuring performance, and leading engagement through audits, meetings, and initiatives
  • Chair the Environmental Health & Safety Compliance Council, collaborating with senior leadership to review performance and drive improvements
  • Provide direction, coaching, and oversight to plant EHS personnel to ensure consistent application of corporate policies and compliance standards
  • Serve as the primary escalation point and technical authority for EHS matters across all facilities

Environmental Compliance

  • Oversee environmental compliance programs across multiple facilities, ensuring adherence to all applicable federal, state, local, and provincial regulations
  • Lead the preparation, submission, and renewal of environmental permits (air, water, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, and related areas)
  • Ensure all required EHS permits are current, accurate, and maintained for operational compliance
  • Maintain and update environmental prevention and management plans (e.g., SPCC, SWPPP, Wastewater O&M)

Audit, Compliance & Regulatory Management

  • Plan and lead EHS compliance audits across all facilities, ensuring timely identification and remediation of gaps
  • Collaborate directly with regulatory agencies as the primary company representative for environmental compliance matters
  • Monitor and interpret evolving regulatory requirements and ensure proactive company alignment
  • Provide 24/7 guidance and decision-making support to plant leadership for incident response, including spills/releases

Physical Security & Risk Management

  • Lead company-wide physical security programs, including risk assessments, workplace violence prevention, theft, and fraud mitigation
  • Monitor worldwide events, and mitigate/manage associated risk to travelling team members
  • Conduct security audits and ensure implementation of preventive and corrective measures
  • Actively help manage in-the-moment physical security risks (e.g., threats of physical violence)

Operational Support & Hands-On Leadership

  • Provide direct, hands-on support to facilities as a "doer/technical expert/on-site coach," not solely an advisory resource
  • Partner closely with plant leadership to implement solutions and ensure practical, effective compliance execution

Ownership & Accountability

  • Own and be directly accountable for the effectiveness of the EHS&S program across the organization
  • Drive a culture of urgency, responsiveness, and continuous improvement to address risks and compliance gaps
  • Ensure timely mobilization of resources to mitigate risks and maintain safe, compliant operations
