    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    The Sr. Manager, Commercial Underwriting is responsible for leading and managing the Underwriting team within the Commercial Finance Operations department. This position provides operations leadership and subject matter expertise in development, expansion and maintenance of system enhancements, quality controls, reporting, and policy and procedures within Commercial Finance Operations Underwriting. In addition, the Sr. Manager, Commercial Underwriting will proactively establish and maintain internal and external relationships with key stakeholders including automobile dealers.

    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    1. Oversee, establish, and define clear credit and underwriting priorities of various Mobility products including but not limited to products originating from Commercial Vehicle Finance, Subscription, Fleet, Truck, Trailer and B2B/OEM Equipment finance requests.

    2. Support the design requirements and implementation of the ALFA system from credit and underwriting perspectives. This will include identifying best practices and potential friction points that may occur during the underwriting process.

    3. Create, validate, and monitor Commercial Finance reporting, data and methods and provide overviews and recommendations to senior management to drive process improvements that lead to enhanced and efficient business performance

    4. Coordinate with funding, servicing, sales, and collection teams to enhance operational effectiveness including process gaps, associate training, dealer training needs and communication.

    5. Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals.

    Qualifications

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
    • Minimum 8 years progressive Commercial Operations experience, including Commercial Mobility, Vehicle and Equipment underwriting.
    • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
    • Truck and trailer financing experience a plus.
    • Daybreak and/or ALFA knowledge a plus.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
    • Thorough knowledge of the commercial credit/review process, commercial underwriting and financial and credit analysis.
    • Working knowledge of compliance laws as related to commercial vehicle lending, contracting and funding.
    • Portfolio management skills, including regular covenant reviews and managing draw requests.
    • Relationship building skills with both internal and external customers.
    • Ability to implement continuous operational improvements and new system
    • Ability to lead, motivate and develop team members.
    • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Proven track record with delivering seamless customer experiences.
