The primary functions of this position are planning, scheduling, and turnaround management. In this role, we are asking for these planners to do all of the above. The maintenance planner position provides the central functions of a proactive maintenance organization. All non-emergent work conducted by the maintenance department is planned, coordinated, and scheduled by the maintenance planner. The position is responsible for assuring that job plans are thoroughly developed to outline a sequenced set of job steps that can be safely executed by craft personnel. The maintenance planner obtains and stages these resources, coordinates related repair work and downtime requirements, and provides schedules with sufficient identified work to fully support their respective maintenance crews.
