Job Title: Sr. Java Developer
Location: Birmingham, AL (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Duration: 6 month contract to hire (Long Term)
Experience: 8+ Year
Responsibility:
Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performing Java applications
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot
Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and other developers in an Agile environment
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions
Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in production and development environments
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Required Skill:
5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
Experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, MVC, Security)
Skilled in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
Comfortable with tools like Git, Docker, Jenkins, Maven, and Kubernetes
Solid understanding of RESTful API design, databases, and microservices
Naturally collaborative able to explain complex ideas clearly and listen well
Reliable, proactive, and invested in team success, not just individual contribution
A genuinely pleasant person to work with kind, approachable, and grounded
