Our client is a growing, private equity backed company that is building out a stronger, more forward looking finance function after multiple acquisitions. The accounting and data foundation has been cleaned up, and the company is now focused on better forecasting, stronger business insights, improved reporting, and smarter decision making across the organization.

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst who enjoys being close to the business, not buried in spreadsheets with no context. The ideal person will be comfortable partnering with operations, sales, supply chain, accounting, and leadership to understand what is happening in the business, explain performance, identify trends, and help leadership make better decisions.

This role is a strong fit for someone with a plant finance, operations finance, manufacturing finance, distribution, inventory, cost accounting, or P&L reporting background.

What you will do

You will support core FP&A and operational finance work, including:

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • P&L reporting and financial performance analysis
  • Partnering with operations, sales, supply chain, accounting, and business leaders
  • Analyzing revenue, margin, cost, inventory, and operational trends
  • Preparing reports and dashboards that help leadership understand performance
  • Supporting month end and quarter end reporting
  • Helping identify cost savings, process improvements, and financial blind spots
  • Turning data into clear, useful insights for non finance leaders
  • Building models and tools to improve visibility across the business
  • Supporting ad hoc analysis for leadership as the finance function continues to grow

What we are looking for

  • 3 plus years of financial analysis, FP&A, plant finance, operations finance, cost accounting, or related experience
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, ERP systems, or other reporting tools is a plus
  • Manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, inventory, or multi site business experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non finance teams
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain the “why” behind the numbers
  • Someone who is hands on, curious, business minded, and comfortable working in a growing company environment
