What to Expect
The Sr. Financial Reporting Associate supports quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, including IFRS and U.S. GAAP reporting requirements, preparation of footnotes, and supporting schedules/analyses. This role assists with external audit and review activities by preparing documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and coordinating requests with internal stakeholders. In addition, this role supports month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analytics, and contributes to annual compliance and MTN reporting requirements by preparing and validating financial reporting components.
What You Will Do
1. Support the production of quarterly and annual IFRS and U.S. GAAP financial statements, including footnotes and related supporting schedules/analyses; partner with internal stakeholders, leadership, and external auditors to ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting.
2. Support annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors by preparing requested documentation, drafting/maintaining support for key accounting positions and policies, coordinating audit requests, responding to inquiries, and tracking open items through resolution.
3. Support month-end close for U.S. GAAP and IFRS, including preparation and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance/financial statement analytics to confirm transactions are properly recorded and substantiated on a timely basis.
4. Support annual compliance reporting and MTN reporting requirements by preparing and validating the financial reporting components, ensuring consistency to underlying financial statements and supporting records.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring
• Minimum 4-6 years' related experience supporting financial reporting processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis; exposure to month- end close activities preferred.
• Public accounting experience and/or auto captive finance industry experience strongly preferred.
• Training/experience with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., Oracle ERP, OBIEE or similar) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong financial reporting skills, including preparation of supporting schedules, tie-outs, and disclosure support; high attention to detail and data integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate variances, reconcile complex accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft clear audit support, responses, procedures, and business correspondence.
