We are seeking a highly driven and analytical individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst for our company. This role is integral in providing strategic financial insights, budgeting, and forecasting to support decision-making processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed financial analyses, developing financial models, and providing financial support to various business functions. This role offers an incredible opportunity to make a significant impact on the direction and success of our company.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute financial and business strategies in collaboration with the senior management team.
2. Conduct detailed financial analyses and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
3. Develop, implement, and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
4. Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.
5. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
6. Monitor variance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
7. Provide financial support to various business functions and assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
8. Prepare and present financial reports to the management team, highlighting key business drivers and financial trends.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and profitability.
10. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An advanced degree such as an MBA or a professional certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the transportation industry.
3. Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
4. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including knowledge of complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight timelines.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
8. A proactive approach with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
9. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
10. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
