Our Desktop Support Technician will perform a variety of duties in support of end users for IT hardware and/or software. Using knowledge in all aspects of computer design, functionality, system operation, and infrastructure. Desktop Technicians will be handling moving equipment between sites, imaging, refreshes, data migrations, etc Driving is required for role so a MVR check will be run Length: Long term contract, opportunity of extension Pay $26/hr. 9x80 schedule Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: 2 year of experience migrating workstations to WIN 9 or 10 2 years demonstrating professional desktop support history with a variety of platforms / systems / applications and tools to include Operating system expertise - Windows, Unix/Linux, Apple, Network protocol and Image loading protocol 2 years LAN/NETWORK connectivity, and basic network connectivity assessment for troubleshooting or setups 2 years of experience in connectivity and telecommunications/networking A+ Certification Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Evaluates and tests software programs to verify functionality according to specifications and standards Demonstrates excellent Customer Service Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices. Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops). Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops. Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location). Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.) Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment. Must have previous hands on Windows and Mac break/fix experience along with iOS user support Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check, MVR check and a drug screen. Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance and maintain one.
