Sr Engineer

ENGINEERING SR ENGINEER, PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP: St. Jude Medical, an Abbott Labs Co. in Sylmar, CA. Lead & coordinate Product Stewardship project lifecycle inclini-tiation, planning, implementation, tracking & closure to achieve regulations compliance & org goals. Bachelors or foreign equiv in Mechanical Eng or in rltd eng fld of study w/ min. 7 yrs of rltd progressive pro eng exp. Alternatively will accept Masters w/ min. 5 yrs of rltd pro eng exp. Each alt req must possess min 5 yrs of pro exp in: (i) coordinating Product Stewardship project lifecycle incl initiation, planning, implementation, tracking & closure; (ii) regulatory material compliance requirements w/ country-specific regulations (REACH, China ROHS, EU MDR & California Prop65); (iii) identifying & assessing potential risks associated w/ product design, mfg & end-of-life mgmt, & implementing strategies to minimize environmental impact of products & processes; (iv) developing cont. improvement opportunities for processes & projects; (v) conducting periodic reviews of procedures & Detailed Work Instructions (DWIs) for Risk Management & product development in compliance w/ EN ISO 14971 & ISO 13485 standards & make improvements as needed to meet regulation requirements; & (vi) working w/ suppliers to get required material info act on regulation compliance regarding materials.
