- Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.

Additional Responsibilities:
Planning, developing and documenting conceptual and detailed product design information by creating CAD models, drawings and schematics; Assist with Change Notice creation and implementation; Perform tolerance studies; Assist with root cause analysis efforts; Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, customers and locations as needed; Active participant in safety related topics; Active participant in continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:- Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
Experienced with the following:
Proficient in the use of the latest Creo 10.0 and above, associated CAD file management (Intralink/Windchill) and other applicable hardware and software to perform in position
Awareness of latest industry standards as it relates to model based design
Able to manage priorities and complete tasks in accordance with project requirements and milestones
Able to discuss technical issues and communicate effectively with engineers, designers, management and other functions
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Critical thinking. Analytical thinking. Problem solving skills. Mathematic skills. Computer skills. Technical expertise. High understanding of basic engineering, design and drafting concepts; lead design experience a plus.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- This position is Safety-Sensitive.
