The Impact As our Sr. Embedded Software Specialist, you will shape the next generation of embedded compressor control systems used across the world in high-efficiency HVAC applications. You will work hands-on across the full software development lifecycle while influencing design decisions that directly improve system performance, reliability, and usability.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, guide technical decisions, and mentor other developers. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working with real-time embedded systems, and making a visible impact, this role gives you the opportunity to do exactly that.
This is an in-person position based in our Turbocor Global Headquarters in Tallahassee, FL.
What Youll Be Doing
Lead the full software development lifecycle, including requirements design, implementation, verification, documentation, deployment, and maintenance.
Drive best-practice engineering processes with clear documentation, test procedures, requirements traceability, and configuration management.
Collaborate across hardware, software, and system engineering teams to design, verify, and troubleshoot complex embedded and hardware-integrated systems.
Develop primarily for embedded real-time compressor control platforms with secondary work on PC tools, automated testing systems, production support tools, and web technologies.
Mentor engineering team members by sharing expertise, tools, and techniques to strengthen capability and technical depth.
Travel up to 20 domestic and international for customer site testing and technical support.
