Akkodis is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in aircraft control systems while driving engineering change processes, resolving production issues, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, compliant product delivery.
Rate Range: $60/Hour to $70/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Sr Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Lead and manage production and factory support activities for aerospace control systems, including resolving engineering support cases and driving ECN releases.
Oversee design integration and ensure compliance of electronic control units and subassemblies with system and customer requirements.
Act as Change Board Chair (or backup), ensuring quality review and timely processing of Engineering Change Notices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, materials, certification, test, and suppliers) to support product development and issue resolution.
Guide and mentor engineering teams, distributing workload and providing technical leadership across projects.
Support product lifecycle activities including design updates, substantiation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in control systems engineering or aerospace product development.
Strong hands-on experience with aerospace control systems and electronic control units, including production support and system integration.
Proven ability to manage engineering change processes (ECNs), lead cross-functional teams, and support complex manufacturing and design activities.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $70.00 per hour
