Job Summary
The energy industry is undergoing rapid and dramatic changes, transforming the utility landscape to enhance reliability and sustainability. In response, our company is expanding its Energy & Power Solutions team to tackle the complexities of energy resiliency and decarbonization to deliver a cleaner and more secure energy future. We are seeking a senior-level electrical engineer for a leading role. This position provides an opportunity to mentor and manage junior and mid-level electrical engineering staff members while working closely with our clients to deliver exceptional services in the energy sector. Additional responsibilities include strategy formation, business development, and sales as we expand our energy transition portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to evaluate their energy needs, develop concept-level plans and solutions, and take these through detailed design for full execution.
- Lead an electrical engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions across all market sectors.
- Collaborate with Client Account Managers and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm.
- Anticipate challenges and manage "up and out" while supporting large teams responsible for daily project delivery.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Location: Conshohocken, PA - Hybrid role, 2 days a week.
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- At least 8 years of design/consulting experience.
- Experience with power distribution systems and microgrids, power generation, high voltage or medium voltage substations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop design calculations, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work independently with minor supervision once given guidance by lead engineer.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx, and NavisWorks.
- Power system modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar modeling software.
- Experience with renewable energy projects including wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, and other technologies.
- Knowledge of energy storage systems, protection and control, SCADA, or power system automation.
- Experience in campus utility master planning or decarbonization/climate response planning.
- Familiarity with cogeneration or combined heat and power systems, thermal utility plants, and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain it within 1 year is preferred.
