We are looking for a candidate with experience in retail across all channels - club, mass, pet specialty, ecommerce, and traditional grocery. Create and define the long-term strategy for the Pet, Paper, and Grocery Non-Foods desk across Daymon
Developing, maintaining, and growing clients" business through collaborative business plans, partnering with account teams, selling in new opportunities and services.
Understanding the industry and competitive landscape to determine focus areas. Reviewing industry and category trends to make sound recommendations to customers and clients
Expanding Daymon Private Brands business by selling new services and gaining new clients within the respective categories across retail
Showcasing Daymon"s Private Brand expertise within the Pet, Paper, and Grocery Non-Foods categories through presentations, category reviews, overall industry/category recommendations
Day-to-day business and relationship management, including but not limited to: analyzing sales reports, submitting/negotiating contracts, sales tracking, etc.
Make adjustments and optimize service quality to maximize our one-to-one consumer interactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor"s Degree or equivalent experience required; MBA Degree or equivalent experience preferred
10+ years of leadership experience in sales within the pet, paper or grocery non-foods categories or channels of trade, including P&L responsibility (budgeting, forecasting, etc.)
Previous experience managing direct reports
Experience working with and selling to major retail chains such as Costco, Walmart, Tractor Supply, Petco, and/or experience in consumer packaged goods industry
Excellent strategic thinking and process development skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to influence without authority
