RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and assortment of specific category and product lines to deliver merchandise with great value
  • Select and deliver the trendiest product while achieving financial goals and staying within specific price points
  • Develop relationships with current as well as new vendors to capitalize on the hottest trends and deliver the most exciting new merchandise
  • Provide leadership and direction for your buying team
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with all vendors
  • Work with other members of the merchandising group on product development and implementation into existing store schemes
  • Perform in depth market research to identify the hottest product for the target audience


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 6 - 8 years of buying experience in a multi-channel retail organization
  • Proven leadership in people development and team management with 5+ years of experience
  • Must have significant knowledge of product development, category management, planning, distribution, inventory management, and domestic and overseas manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong experience in managing projects, including complex and cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and negotiating skills
  • Highly organized and able to adapt to quickly changing priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Must possess a demonstrable knowledge of evolving business/social/and trends
  • Analytical and Data-Driven
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Entrepreneurial team player and cross-functional leader
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Ability to embrace 5 core company values
  • Demonstrate ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while adopting mentality of “let go & have fun”
  • Must be Philadelphia based or willing to relocate to the Philadelphia area
