The Senior Director, Accounting and Financial Reporting oversees accounting, financial, and tax reporting for a large federation and approximately 50 supporting organizations, including foundations.
They manage all aspects of the Mandel Supporting Foundation, lead internal and external audits, staff the Audit Committee, and prepare consolidated quarterly financial reports.
Responsibilities include supervising finance staff, overseeing legal, tax, and financial activities, and ensuring internal controls.
Qualifications require a bachelor’s in accounting, 8+ years of experience, GAAP knowledge, and CPA preferred.
Skills include analytical thinking, strong communication, technology proficiency, and ability to handle high-volume work.
Experience in nonprofit accounting, tax filings, and familiarity with NetSuite and Salesforce are preferred.
This full-time role reports to the Managing Director, and the organization focuses on strengthening the Jewish community through innovative, collaborative efforts.
