About the Role:
As a CBRE Design Engineer Sr Consultant, you will be responsible for managing design activities related to construction and other projects for medium to large-sized clients.
You will work closely with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality design solutions.
What You'll Do:
Identify the client's project goals, objectives, and quality expectations through data and research
Act as a liaison between key stakeholders and the project team. Build and develop lasting relationships
Ensure HSSE compliance in all designs and creations within the project
Oversee all phases of the design, documentation, and construction process. This includes programming through contract administration, and the coordination of consultants
Work with the marketing department to create complex proposals, schedules, and fees
Manage all maters related to project initiation and implementation, development, and execution. This includes financial performance and preparation of consultant agreements
Plan, organize, and supervise the work of a multi-disciplined project staff. This includes scheduling and adhering to budget projections
Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives
Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function
Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, open at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view
Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies
Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals
Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence
Solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business
Use innovative methods to think beyond existing solutions
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
NCIDQ certification or Architectural license required
The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions
Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
Strong leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department
Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a
candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is
$135K per year and the maximum salary for the position is
or $160K per year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate
will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also
be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
