Job Details

Job Summary:

The Sr. Intermodal Customer Service Representative is responsible for intermodal order planning, tracking, service exception management, and customer communication. Order management and service delivery should meet or exceed customer expectations. The Customer Service Representative will work closely with Intermodal Planning, terminal operations, pricing, contracts, billing and other support departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creation, entry and management of orders in the transportation management system(s)
  • Collaborates with the Intermodal Planners as well as other QC support departments
  • Tracking and tracing of intermodal orders throughout the order cycle
  • Ability to identify, report and correct service exceptions
  • Customer advocate building relationships that foster growth
  • Communicates effectively both internally and externally
  • Responds to customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner
  • Reporting and management of on-time service delivery
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years of experience in customer service
  • Transportation experience preferred
  • Liquid Bulk Experience preferred
  • Intermodal experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of company's various business operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, detail oriented, and ability to take initiative
  • Ability to prioritize and hands multiple tasks
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently, as required
  • Knowledge of Google apps and Microsoft Office products preferred
  • Strong analytical and planning skills

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two year degree preferred

Additional Job Information

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel Requirements: Rare
