Summary of Job Details
Under the supervision of the working Senior Lead Laborer and/or Lead Laborer, performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks and is responsible for minor maintenance and storage of equipment. Required to comply with the Physical Facilities Safety Program.
Required Qualifications
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks and follow oral and written instructions.
• Six months of experience in a custodial cleaning operation or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Less than 1 year of any experience operating vacuum cleaners, buffers, wall washing, machines, shampoo machines, wet/dry vacuums, waxers, floor scrubbing and/or polishing machines during stripping, waxing, buffing and/or other related cleaning operations.
Special Conditions of Employment
• Criminal history check (U02): Satisfactory completion of a criminal history background check.
• Driver’s License (U08): Required to hold a valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
• UCSB is a tobacco free environment.
Budgeted Range: $25.74/hr.
Full Salary Range: $23.79 to $30.80/hr.
Working Days and Hours: Mon- Friday 2:00am-10:30am
