The role involves integrating Electrical systems and industrial communication systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation of diesel generators, and distributed energy assets.Key Accountabilities Be the architect for control system platformsLeverage global knowledge base to support R&D developments and customized deploymentsDesign interfaces between various proprietary hardware (ECU's, Gen control panels, PLC's, HMI's)Develop special customer applications with MTU controls systemDesign controls system for R&D programsInterface electrical and mechanical applications and systems with the MTU controls systemWork directly with controls and governor manufacturers to improve functionality and mitigate issuesSpecify, design, validate, and maintain MTU control systemsHardware responsibilities: voltage regulators, control panels, engine ECUs, PLC's, and other protective relaysWork within a global electrical engineering organization and co-ordinate with global team in respective projectsAssist all areas of company with controls related issuesDevise strategic plans for problem resolutions using facts and gathered dataInvolve in development and validation of special customer projectsBasic Requirements Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship.
