Job Summary

This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and We are looking to hire Sr. Control System Engineer (Fly-By-Wire and Secondary Flight) in Montreal, QC (Onsite), immediately who has strong experience in FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.

Role Overview:

The FBW & Secondary Flight Control Engineering team and the business are looking for a Senior Professional, Engineering who has product and process to ensure a sustaining program (Challenger, Global Express, Global 8000) while preparing it for the challenges and demands of the future (Ecojet).

Job Description

  • Perform the integration of the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.

  • Support the development of concepts, design approach and philosophy with the Flight Control system supplier.

  • Perform/Review analysis to evaluate concepts feasibility.

  • Develop, validate and verify technical requirements of the Flight Control System.

  • Review/Prepare technical requirements.

  • Review/Prepare test procedures.

  • Execute test rig and/or aircraft testing.

  • Review/Prepare test reports in support of certification activities.

  • Resolve problems arising from in-service aircraft..

  • Troubleshooting, root cause determination, corrective action definition and execution.

  • Ensure compliance to the ARP4754 development process.

  • Support trade off studies and life cycle cost analysis for future programs.

  • Ensure the design process and the resulting equipment implementation is in line with client's requirements and standards.

Required Skills

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and have a minimum of 7 years' experience in aerospace related field.
  • You have been directly involved in the definition and certification of at least one FBW and/or Secondary Flight Control system.
  • You possess a good understanding of all facets of system definition, integration, and certification and have a knowledge of aircraft systems and interfaces (e.g., electrical, hydraulic, avionics, auto-flight).
  • You have knowledge of Part 25 certification process.
  • You have experience in modeling and dynamic simulation of flight controls electrical and hydraulic actuators is an asset.
  • You have a working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow simulation environment.
  • You have some familiarity with other simulation environments such as ADAMS, or design tools such as CATIA would be an asset.

The pay range for this role is CAD $100,000 - CAD $120,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay. Tech Mahindra also offers benefits like medical, vision, dental, life, disability insurance and paid time off (including holidays, parental leave, and sick leave, as required by law). The pay range for this role is CAD $55/hr to CAD $65/hr.
