    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    The Sr. Cloud Architect designs and governs scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS cloud solutions. This role partners with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure cloud platforms meet performance, availability, compliance, and operational standards.

    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    1. Architecture & Solution Design

    • Lead end-to-end cloud architecture for new and existing solutions, establishing reference architectures, standards, and best practices.

    • Design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions aligned with business, security, and operational requirements.

    • Partner with stakeholders to develop solution roadmaps, implementation plans, and migration strategies.

    • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, mentoring, and design guidance.

    • Lead cloud modernization, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and cost optimization initiatives.

    2. Platform Foundation, Networking & Governance

    • Design secure cloud foundations, multi-account environments, networking, and connectivity architectures.

    • Establish infrastructure-as-code, automation, and governance standards to support scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

    3. Project & Performance Management

    • Lead strategic cloud initiatives that support Digital Division objectives.

    • Provide executive reporting and visibility into project status, performance metrics, risks, and key deliverables.

    4. Security, Risk & Compliance

    • Define and implement cloud security controls, monitoring, and risk management practices.

    • Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

    5. Technical Standards

    • Partner with Architecture, Platform Engineering, and DevSecOps teams to establish and enforce cloud architecture standards.

    • Maintain reference architectures, reusable patterns, and governance processes aligned with enterprise and AWS best practices.

    6. Documentation

    • Maintain architecture documentation, implementation plans, migration runbooks, and operational artifacts.

    • Lead architecture reviews and document risks, exceptions, and governance decisions.

    Qualifications

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

    • 8+ years of progressive experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering with strong hands-on AWS expertise.

    • Bachelor's degree

    • Deep expertise designing and governing AWS environments, including multi-account strategies, landing zones, hybrid cloud architectures, networking, security, and enterprise governance.

    • Proven experience architecting highly available, resilient, and secure cloud solutions across compute, storage, databases, and application platforms.

    • Experience leading large-scale cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and data center exit programs.

    • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation), CI/CD automation, and cloud operational best practices.

    • Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, incident management, and operational support using tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk, or similar.
