UPMC Presbyterian, a Magnet-designated hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center, is looking to hire a full-time Sr Clinical Professional Development Specialist (Sr. CPDS to join their exceptional Nursing Education team!
This position will support our Transplant ICU. Previous experience working in critical care is highly preferred.
This role primarily operates during weekday daylight shifts, with the flexibility to engage with night and weekend staff as needed to meet the education requirements of the unit.
In this role, you'll provide hands-on, real-time education and support directly on the unit - working side by side with nurses to strengthen skills, confidence, and outcomes. This is an ideal opportunity for a nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and being a visible resource for staff.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Registered Nurse (RN
Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
UPMC-approved certification preferred
