Summary



The Change Enablement Specialist is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading change management strategy and execution across technology initiatives of varying size and complexity. This role spans both strategic and hands‑on work, from shaping change approaches and influencing project direction to executing communications and training as needed.


The specialist partners closely with internal communications and training teams on larger initiatives and independently delivers lightweight change activities for smaller efforts. This role is critical to ensuring employees are prepared to adopt new systems, processes, tools, and ways of working, and requires strong change management expertise, cross‑functional collaboration skills, and thoughtful use of AI to enhance effectiveness.


This position will support our Technology Services team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



Change Planning & Strategy


+ Lead change management strategies for technology initiatives, scaling approach to project size and impact.

+ Apply structured change methodologies to guide initiatives from planning through adoption.

+ Advise project leaders and stakeholders on change risks, sequencing, and adoption readiness.

+ Conduct change impact and readiness assessments and determine appropriate support levels.


Communication


+ Partner with internal communications on larger initiatives to deliver clear, adoption‑focused messaging.

+ Independently develop and deliver change communications for smaller efforts.

+ Manage communication plans, timing, and feedback to ensure employee readiness.

+ Tailor messaging for diverse audiences, from front‑line employees to senior leaders.


Training & Enablement


+ Partner with training teams to design and deliver learning programs for larger initiatives.

+ Develop lightweight training materials and readiness sessions for smaller projects.

+ Assess training needs and track completion and adoption metrics.


Stakeholder Engagement


+ Build strong relationships with project teams and business stakeholders.

+ Support sponsor and change champion networks.

+ Proactively identify and address resistance.


Measurement & Reporting


+ Define and track adoption metrics and provide regular status updates.

+ Conduct post‑implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.


AI & Technology Tools


+ Leverage AI tools to efficiently draft, refine, and analyze change communications and enablement content.

+ Use AI to support impact analysis and feedback synthesis while modeling responsible, high‑quality use.


Education & Experience



Required

• 3-7+ years of experience in change management, organizational effectiveness, or a related discipline, with a track record of leading change work on technology or enterprise initiatives.

• Demonstrated ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical levels — developing change strategies and plans while also producing hands-on deliverables independently when needed.

• Experience coordinating with internal communications and/or training teams as a functional partner, including scoping work, providing direction, and reviewing outputs.

• Working knowledge of at least one established change management methodology (Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, Bridges Transition Model, McKinsey 7-S, or similar).

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in an environment with shifting priorities and tight timelines.

• Demonstrated written communication skills, with experience crafting stakeholder communications, change narratives, and enablement content for a range of audiences.

• Able to work effectively across all organizational levels, from front-line employees to senior leaders.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams); familiarity with project management or collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Smartsheet).


Preferred

• Prosci Change Management Certification, CCMP (Certified Change Management Professional), or equivalent credential.

• Experience in a technology organization, IT-led transformation, or enterprise systems implementation (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments and how change management integrates with iterative development cycles.

• Familiarity with AI-powered workflow tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Notion AI, or similar platforms, including willingness to evaluate and adopt new AI capabilities as they emerge.

• Experience applying AI tools specifically to change management tasks — such as generating stakeholder personas, drafting resistance management plans, summarizing feedback themes, or creating training outlines.

• Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Business, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
