This position involves inspecting and receiving cargo to safeguard company and customer interests. The role includes receiving cargo at various locations such as the main floor, UPS, yard, and ramp, entering accurate data into the warehouse management system, and preparing items for putaway.
Operate a forklift to assist with receiving, stripping, and putting away cargo, ensuring proper placement and documentation. Provide attentive customer service to individuals delivering at the ramp and yard, offering assistance as needed. Load cargo into containers, ensuring shipment accuracy and integrity by preventing shortages or errors, and secure shipments with blocking and bracing to minimize damage risks.
**Qualifications:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 12 months of warehouse experience
- OSHA-certified forklift operator
- Knowledge of all receiving processes and areas
- Valid Florida driver’s license
