DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Maintenance Technician - Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and improving electrical, automation, and production support systems within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role supports reliable plant operations through advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting, preventive maintenance execution, and rapid response to equipment failures while maintaining strict compliance with safety and quality standards.
This position serves as a technical resource within the maintenance organization and is expected to independently diagnose complex equipment issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist in maintaining site operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical & Controls Maintenance
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, production equipment, and facility support systems
Diagnose and correct electrical, instrumentation, and controls failures to minimize downtime
Support operation and maintenance of:
Allen Bradley PLC systems
Motor controls and VFDs
Instrumentation and calibration systems
Electrical distribution systems
Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Read and interpret:
Electrical schematics
P&IDs
Technical manuals
Wiring diagrams and blueprints
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
GMP Compliance & Documentation
Perform all maintenance activities in compliance with GMP, safety, and environmental requirements
Ensure accurate and complete maintenance documentation, including:
Work orders
Equipment logs
Maintenance forms
Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in inspection-ready condition
Continuous Improvement & Technical Support
Safety
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred
Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong troubleshooting experience with:
Allen Bradley PLC systems
Industrial instrumentation
AC/DC motors and drives
Electrical distribution systems
Experience using CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
Proficient with Windows-based computer systems and maintenance software
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working Conditions

Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift maintenance tools and equipment as required
