The Ring team is looking for a passionate and talented Sr. Android Software Development Engineer who has experience building world-class mobile apps. You will be responsible for developing mobile applications that interact seamlessly with our devices and delight our customers.

You will join a team that owns some of the most important functionality in the Ring app. With a huge audience and an exciting roadmap, this is a rare opportunity to shape the community experience for millions of users.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and development of platform capabilities that support Ring mobile applications
  • Lead the evolution of our application architecture, addressing deficiencies and driving scalability
  • Develop platform tooling, SDKs, and shared components using Android Studio, Kotlin, AI, and a variety of other technologies
  • Develop with performance, quality, and reliability in mind
  • Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to design, build, and deliver platform solutions
  • Ensure operational excellence by resolving platform issues, improving build systems, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation across the mobile platform
  • Use AI to deliver efficiently - this can include generating code, unit tests, documentation, tickets, resolving defects, optimizing code, and much more
  • Develop the best in your fellow builders

  • Build platform capabilities that power features used by millions of customers
  • Use the latest AI technologies to deliver high-quality tooling and automation
  • Support and influence key decisions within the mobile platform and promote best coding practices
  • Work closely with feature teams to ensure platform components are extensible, maintainable, and easy to adopt
  • Collaborate with backend developers to define how our apps integrate with back-end services
  • Write well-tested code using modern architectural principles
