The Senior Accounting Analyst is a high-impact role sitting within the central Division Finance team and reporting directly to the Divisional SVP Finance. This position serves as a critical financial partner across a $600M revenue division comprising 21 business units, with accountability spanning the full income statement and balance sheet. The ideal candidate combines technical accounting depth with analytical rigor and a process-improvement mindset someone who can operate independently, navigate complexity, and drive results in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Job Duties:

  • Serve as the Division''s primary point of contact for month-end and quarter-end close execution, under SVP Finance oversight.
  • Coordinate closely with the centralized accounting team to ensure timely and accurate posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments across all business units.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve any reconciliation issues at the general ledger and subledger level.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis across revenue, expense, and balance sheet accounts explaining drivers and quantifying impacts.
  • Own end-to-end bonus calculation processes for all 21 business units across the Division.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Division, including full income statement and balance sheet packages.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within a multi-entity or divisional structure.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation solid understanding of GAAP, the close process, and balance sheet/P&L dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience with variance analysis, GL/subledger reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; ability to build, audit, and maintain complex financial models and bonus calculation workbooks.
