About the Opportunity

We are a well-established organization within a complex, multi-entity environment seeking a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and profitability.

This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Leadership, while owning key accounting processes and contributing to strategic financial decision-making.

 

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing core accounting functions, including month-end close, cost tracking, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. This role ensures accuracy, transparency, and strong internal controls across all financial activities.

You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data while supporting audits, reporting, and operational performance tracking.

 

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Lead month-end close processes, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reporting
  • Generate financial reports and provide insights for management

 

Cost Accounting & Analysis

  • Track, analyze, and monitor costs against financial models
  • Identify variances and ensure proper cost allocation across business units
  • Support profitability analysis and financial decision-making

 

Inventory & Reconciliation

  • Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and ensure accurate valuation
  • Maintain integrity of balance sheet inputs related to inventory and cost components

 

Controls & Compliance

  • Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Support external audit processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP)

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with teams across Finance, Operations, and Leadership
  • Support KPI reporting and financial performance tracking
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and governance processes

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 8+ years of general accounting experience
  • Strong experience with inventory accounting
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

 

Preferred

  • CPA designation
  • Experience in complex, multi-entity environments
  • Exposure to regulated or product-based industries
