THE POSITION:

At STACK, the Sr. Accountant, Intercompany is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will be responsible for the monthly production and maintenance of all general ledger accounting, lead and manage the monthly close process, assist with financial statement preparation and analysis, technical accounting, process improvement, external audit coordination, and be the right-hand person to the Accounting Director.

You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced multitasking environment and easily adapt to change and rapid company growth. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete the month end close process and preparation of journal entries for corporate entity as well as reconciliation for all balance sheet accounts

  • Prepare monthly financial statement for corporate entity with actual to budget commentary

  • Evaluate and record transactions to the general ledger timely and accurately

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, including Finance and Treasury teams and external shareholders including private equity sponsors.

  • Analyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP

  • Prepare equity account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed for all funds with the related investors

  • Prepare intercompany account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed

  • Work with the Treasury team to settle outstanding intercompany payable balances in a timely manner

  • Provide technical accounting research and implementation support

  • Provide support and prepare documentation for the external audit

  • Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and special projects to move the business forward

  • Technology oriented

THE DETAILS:

  • Location: Denver, CO / In Office: 3 days/ week

  • Travel: Less than 10%

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Accounting required

  • 3+ years prior work experience

  • CPA and industry/operational accounting experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP

  • Multi-entity and international experience preferred

  • NetSuite experience preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel

  • Detail-oriented Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills

  • Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams

  • Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision

  • Proven success in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures

  • Preferred - NetSuite experience

Compensation Range:

$94,340.00 - $104,940.00
