Job SummaryThe Senior Account Manager is responsible for implementing commercial strategies through the promotion of the specialty injectable portfolio. The primary focus is to grow sales by developing customer relationships for GPO contract compliance, promoting and gaining market share on new product launches, and maximizing opportunities that highlight Fresenius Kabi's broad portfolio of products. The role manages a territory that consists of healthcare customers ranging from hospitals, surgery centers, oncology centers, pharmacy compounders, and government facilities. In addition, the Senior Account Manager develops and manages relationships at a regional level with pharmaceutical wholesalers and distribution partners. The Sr. Account Manager generates new clients, promotes new business, and maintains relationships with current clients, managing accounts and developing new business opportunities at the IHN level. Customer contact is spread across multi-disciplines within the hospital environment.The territory includes Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx in New York. The ideal candidate will live in one of these areas. Salary range: $90,000–$100,000 per year base, with an annual commission target of $60,000–$65,000 per year. This position is also eligible for a company car. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Our benefits and programs are comprehensive and thoughtfully crafted to ensure our colleagues live healthy lives and have support when it matters most.ResponsibilitiesManage all sales of accounts within integrated buying systems (GPOs) in a defined territory or region.Increase sales in the assigned territory and develop new business opportunities.Launch new products and programs.Achieve territory sales goals.Call on new prospective customers to uncover new opportunities.Increase and maintain significant, consistent new business within the defined territory.Launch new product offerings to meet pre‑determined quotas.Identify and manage customer requirements, utilizing advanced knowledge of product lines, and communicate alternative product solutions to leverage the hospital network.Manage corporate resources to address customer requirements, planning ahead with solutions based on discreet customer needs.Resolve account sales issues independently using full knowledge of corporate and sales processes.Train and mentor entry‑level sales representatives on the sales process and the company's product mix.Prepare all materials needed to maximize selling time with customers and call on assigned and potential customers routinely.Maintain a current database for top accounts, including GPO and wholesaler affiliations, key contacts, addresses, phone, fax, and email addresses.Operate within expense‑budget guidelines.Define problems or issues and develop projects for execution by various members of the sales organization, acting as project leader.Desire to excel and meet aggressive goals.Contribute to the success of Fresenius Kabi beyond the individual territory.Provide regular and timely feedback to the manager and the internal organization, maintaining the account database with required information.Perform company business in accordance with all corporate compliance initiatives.Submit market trend updates to leadership and the home office regularly.Maintain access to hospitals in the territory by adhering to local policies and meeting all vendor credentialing requirements.Complete all sales training requirements and administrative tasks, including weekly call entry, monthly expense and sales reporting, and acknowledgment of corporate policies.Participate in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.All employees are responsible for ensuring compliance with company documents, programs and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems as per their roles and responsibilities.RequirementsBachelor's degree required.5+ years of related sales experience.Ability to work independently.Demonstrated success in a consultative selling role (questioning, listening, managing call dynamics, managing objections, closing for next steps).Solid influencing skills accompanied by outstanding selling and presentation skills.Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Experience with ERPs (SAP preferred) and CRMs (Salesforce.com preferred) and knowledge of other database concepts.Ability to travel frequently by car, public transportation, or airline as needed; must have a valid driver's license.Travel requirement of approximately 80% (overnight travel varies by territory); ability to travel within the designated geography and occasionally outside it.Maintain all requirements for customer site access, including active compliance with credentialing requirements (may include COVID‑19 and annual influenza vaccinations).Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business and customer needs.Work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service‑oriented attitude.Maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.Benefits and CompensationWe offer an excellent salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as life insurance, disability, 401(k) with company contribution, and a wellness program.Employment StatusPlease note that joining our team does not create a guaranteed or permanent employment arrangement.
