Summary:

Pay Rate: $78.00 - $82.00 Negotiable based upon years of experience

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Irving, TX



Responsibilities:

  • Develop new functionalities and support existing SQL code
  • Tune existing code, implement new features and enhancements
  • Provide optimization support, including creation of new Tables, Views, Triggers, Stored Procedures, etc.
  • Optimize other Developer Queries as needed
  • Write and maintain technical documentation
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with customers
  • Work closely with technical leads, analysts and developers
  • Troubleshoot performance, concurrency and functional problems


Requirements:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, PL-SQL, and T-SQL
  • General knowledge of DB architecture
  • Strong knowledge of Stored Procedures
  • Strong knowledge of query performance tuning, viewing query plans, and debugging performance issues with SQL Statements and Stored Procedures
  • Experience analyzing Tables / DDLs for potential performance issues such as Key Structure
  • Experience with Replication and Backup techniques
  • Experience with DR and High Availability deployments of Relational Databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able and willing to improve through continuous learning
  • Ability to both work within a team and perform individually
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client oriented
  • BS (MS Preferred) in Computer Science or Equivalent Field


Preferred Skills:

  • PostgreSQL Server DBA skills / experience / certification
  • Experience with Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, DB2/UDB
  • DB recovery models understanding
  • Software Development Experience in the Financial Services Industry
