Sprinkler Foreman – Fire Protection Systems

Position Summary
The Sprinkler Foreman is responsible for leading crews and overseeing all phases of commercial sprinkler system installation, modification, and repair. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with all codes and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise installation of commercial fire sprinkler systems including new construction and retrofit projects
Oversee installation of risers, mains, branch lines, and system components
Assign tasks and manage daily workflow for fitters and helpers
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
Ensure all work meets NFPA 13 standards and local code requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems
Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout procedures, PPE usage, and jobsite safety standards
Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to team members
Coordinate with project managers and leadership to keep projects on schedule
Maintain high-quality workmanship and professional jobsite standards
Requirements
10+ years of commercial sprinkler system experience
Proven experience leading crews as a foreman or lead fitter
Strong knowledge of NFPA 13 and fire protection codes
Experience installing and troubleshooting wet, dry, and pre-action systems
Ability to operate tools such as threading machines, roll groovers, drills, test pumps, and pipe wrenches
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and system layouts
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30 certification
Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
Strong background in system troubleshooting and diagnostics
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
Ability to work at heights and on ladders
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various jobsite conditions
Willingness to work extended hours and in outdoor or hazardous environments
