Penland School of Craft is an international center for craft education offering residential workshops, residencies, community education programs, and exhibitions. Located on 420 acres in the NC Mountains, Penland has 16 teaching studios and 60 historic and contemporary buildings. We are an equal-opportunity employer with a staff of 50+. Hello, we are excited to share that we are looking to hire five temporary staff to support the Penland Pines dining hall this spring season. The season runs from February 23 through May 1, 2026. The position will primarily support the dining hall and dishroom, but may also support needs in the kitchen. The position will work up to 40 hours weekly. Schedules will be determined at a later date.
Penland has 16 workshops running through the spring, including an 8-week concentration and week-long classes, and you will work with our amazing Pines team to deliver meals to our students. You must have your own transportation. You are eligible for sick leave, along with a 30-minute paid break and one meal per day, as well as staff discounts at our gallery, supply store, and coffeehouse. The pay is $16.40 per hour.
